Click on the Wifi icon 
in the toolbar at the top right of your screen.
If you are in range, a list of available networks will drop down.
Click the name of the network you are looking for to connect.
Most networks will require you to have a password to connect, enter it when the prompt appears.
If you will be using this network again in the future, be sure to check the box next to
"Remember this network."
