When a network user is unable to log into a specific iMac or Macbook,
the problem may be on the machine itself and not with the network settings.
You will need to know:
-The hostname of your Open Directory Master, or ODM Server
-The credentials to log in as an administrator on the device you are troubleshooting
If you do not know these things, please contact your local IT support.

Enter the host name of your ODM server into the field labelled "Server."

connect properly in all situations.

re-binding the machine will sometimes resolve the issue.
Previously bound machines will show a red or green dot and a hostname that may or may not
match the name of your server.
Click "Edit."
Remove the existing server.
Select the name of the server, then press the "-" button.
Next, add the server back in by pressing the "+" button.
