A MAC (Media Access Control) address can be used to uniquely identify
your device on a network and provide the proper permissions and access.
Your computer will have two MAC addresses, one for wired connections(Ethernet),
and one for wireless(Wi-Fi).
In either case, you will start in the upper left corner of your screen.
Click on the symbol and then select System Preferences.
Next, locate and click the Network icon.
The left hand pane of the Network Preferences window will list the types of connections set up on
your computer.
A green dot indicates an active connection, while a red or yellow dot will indicate a connection
not currently being used.
To locate your MAC address, first select the connection type, Ethernet or Wi-Fi, then click the button labeled
"Advanced."
Select "Hardware" from the row of tabs across the top of the window, and the MAC address will be displayed below.
